This Privacy Policy explains how OneShot Translation ("OneShot," "we," "us")
collects, uses, and protects information when you use the OneShot AI mobile
application and related services (the "Service"). OneShot AI provides
real-time AI and human language interpretation and translation, including in
healthcare settings.
1. Information we collect
Account information — name, email address, phone number,
username, organization affiliation, and password (stored only as a salted hash).
Audio and session content — when you start a translation or
interpretation session, we capture microphone audio and process it to produce
transcriptions and translations in real time.
Session metadata — language pairs, session duration, minutes
used, and timestamps, used for billing and service quality.
Device and technical data — device model, operating system
version, app version, and IP address, used for security and diagnostics.
Billing status — subscription plan and entitlement state. We
do not store full payment-card numbers. Paid subscriptions are purchased
on our website (not as an in-app purchase) and processed by our payment processor,
Stripe, which also handles billing for human-interpreter (real-world) services.
AI assistant chat — messages you send to the in-app AI chatbot
assistant are processed to generate responses.
2. How we use information
To provide real-time transcription, translation, and interpretation.
To create and manage your account and subscription.
To measure usage for billing and to enforce plan limits.
To maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot problems.
To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal or sensitive information.
3. Audio handling
Microphone audio is captured only during an active session that you initiate. It
is transmitted over an encrypted connection to speech and translation providers to
generate the interpreted output. Audio is processed to deliver the Service and is
not used to build advertising profiles. You may revoke microphone access at any
time in your device settings; the Service cannot interpret speech without it.
4. Health-related use
OneShot AI may be used to interpret conversations in healthcare contexts. Where we
handle protected health information on behalf of a covered entity, we do so under
the applicable agreements and safeguards. OneShot AI is a language tool and is
not a medical device; it does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent
any medical condition.
5. Service providers we share with
We share data only with providers that help us operate the Service, under
contractual confidentiality and security obligations:
Microsoft Azure — hosting, speech recognition, and translation.
OpenAI — powers the in-app AI chatbot assistant; chat messages
you send are processed to generate responses.
Twilio — video/voice connectivity for human-interpreter sessions.
Stripe — processing of subscription and human-interpreter
(real-world) service billing.
Push/notification and messaging providers — to deliver alerts
you have enabled.
6. Data security
We transmit personal and sensitive data using modern encryption (for example, over
HTTPS/TLS) and apply access controls and auditing. No method of transmission or
storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information using
industry-standard, HIPAA-aligned safeguards.
7. Data retention
We retain account and session metadata for as long as your account is active and as
needed to provide the Service, meet legal and billing obligations, and resolve
disputes. You can request deletion as described below.
8. Your choices and rights
Access / export — you can export your account data in the app
(Privacy → "Download my data").
Deletion — you can permanently delete your account and
associated data in the app (Privacy → "Delete account data"), or use our
account & data deletion page to request deletion
without the app.
Permissions — you can control microphone, notification, and
other permissions in your device settings.
9. Children
The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do
not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. International users
We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where
we or our providers operate. By using the Service you consent to such processing.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by
updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by in-app notice.
